Le président ghanéen s’insurge contre Donald Trump

Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama has condemned the Trump administration for its tendency to erase Black history, warning that US policies could have devastating global consequences. Speaking Tuesday in New York, Mahama was referring to initiatives such as the dismantling of slavery exhibits and the rehabilitation of Confederate statues, as well as the removal of African American history from school curricula. “These policies are setting a precedent for some governments and institutions,” Mahama said. “They ultimately legitimize the erasure of Black history.” The Ghanaian president is expected to introduce a resolution at the United Nations General Assembly to recognize the transatlantic slave trade as the most serious crime in human history and demand reparations.
